Super friendly and very good food

Overall, the meal was pleasant and the service was enjoyable, which makes the end of the experience all the more disappointing. When it came time for dessert, I ordered a chocolate mousse, but the one I was served wasn't ready. I pointed this out to the waiter, who went to check with the kitchen before returning and explaining that there were indeed chocolate mousses available and that he could bring me another one. However, by then, I had completely lost my appetite. I didn't understand why I was served a mousse that wasn't ready when there were apparently others ready. The most regrettable thing is that when the bill arrived, the chocolate mousse was still listed even though I hadn't eaten it. It's a shame, because the meal had gone well up to that point, but this kind of detail at the end of the meal inevitably leaves a bad impression.

There's not much going right. The decor is falling apart, the glass partition is held up with corks and the sharp edge is visible. The wallpaper is peeling. The chairs are wobbly and I had to change mine because it wobbled so much. The same goes for the table next to me, which had to be re-chaired as soon as I arrived. The ribeye steak? Medium? Nope, it was like shoe leather and way too peppery despite asking for "no sauce." The side salad was probably straight from a bag and the heavy dressing drowned the poor salad. The burger? The steak wasn't great. The desserts? The homemade tiramisu is mostly mascarpone and two meager cakes at the bottom. A shame, it had potential! The service is friendly but chaotic: greeted by one man, poured a carafe of wine by another, poured another carafe of wine... oh wait, there's already one! The order is taken by a woman. The young man is polite but speaks too fast, I can't understand him... It's a shame, the place is nice.

It's practically the only option in the area, and where others would make no effort and offer a mediocre experience, the team at La Place does the opposite. The drinks menu changes regularly, as does the daily specials. Classic bistro dishes are also on the menu and are very well prepared. Impeccable service. Large shaded terrace at lunchtime. Well done!

A very warm welcome. We had lunch on the terrace to enjoy the lovely weather. Homemade dishes and desserts. Good value for money. A place to remember.

The restaurant in Magny-les-Hameaux. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and what's more, there are concerts on some Fridays. Definitely not to be missed.
