We had a very tasty salad with goat cheese and pieces of bacon, honey and walnuts. My wife had the same but as a galette on a cozy square with an artistic market.

The setting is very pleasant, a small square typical of the Cévennes with an old bell tower in a lively village. It's a shame that the server isn't very welcoming.

Quiet setting, nice little pmu bar which offers drinks, coffee, it's honestly not very expensive and it does the job, it's a very good place to have a drink and to relax, that said the toilets stink, but at least there is soap and toilet paper, a very nice lady and a man who served us, that's what you need,

Auberge Du Peras

11/11/2024: Very warm welcome, good food, nice and well heated room. Very good value for money The only downside was the breakfast served until 9am, much too early, 10am would have been perfect.
14/10/2024: Pleasant night spent as part of the Stevenson path. The room is comfortable and functional. The half board is quality; the dinner was very good (fish which is rare on the path!) and the breakfast was practical because it was also available before time in the form of a tray in the room (this allows the autonomy of hikers depending on their their departure time to reach Alès). The welcome is friendly and smiling. The hostel is a little outside the city (and the GR).

03/11/2024: Simple and efficient cuisine, the room is quick and welcoming The "non-modern" setting gives all its charm to the establishment, we will come back with pleasure
