Conveniently located on Boulevard Jean Jaurès, Café Pantel is something of an institution. Always lively, it's a popular spot for people to gather around a beer or a coffee, chatting about football or bullfighting. The food is simple and good. Friendly service.

26/09/2026: My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the exquisite quality of the food and the professionalism of the servers, all within a historic setting. We received a warm welcome from the owner, which is quite unusual. Quality, a smile, and goodwill are the hallmarks of this restaurant. We highly recommend it.
09/09/2026: Stunning eclectic bullfighting themed restaurant across from the beautiful Nimes Roman arena. We went early on a Tuesday night in September the restaurant was quiet ordering supreme of chicken with morels and calf’s liver with persillade. Both plates were served with creamy sweet potato and ratatouille. Nice place to eat when in Nimes.

22/09/2026: Good, hearty salads and sandwiches with a good selection, not just the basics, plus homemade items (the zucchini bread was excellent)... and friendly service to boot. Recommended for a light meal.
06/07/2026: Visited this place twice I recommend it Takeout or eat in Tiramisu with fromage blanc coulis Dino-shaped cookies The lady is very pleasant Only problem: the pigeons on the terrace
