Café de la Place sur Pernes-Les-Fontaines

Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy our experience this time. We felt rushed, and the beer, whether bottled or pressed, was warm. My bowl was okay, except for the chicken, which was just processed meat and not tasty. It kind of put me off my food. After we finished eating, we were ignored, so we ended up paying, even though we would have liked to have dessert or an espresso. It's a shame; we really enjoyed it three years ago and one year ago. It's definitely gone downhill.

Perhaps the sound system volume is a little too high...

A pleasant spot to enjoy the central square of Pernes-les-Fontaines, although a few things could still be improved. CUISINE The menu offers simple and varied brasserie-style cuisine, with well-presented dishes and generally good-quality ingredients. Portions are decent, and the value for money remains reasonable for an establishment located in the heart of the town. Some dishes, however, could benefit from a little more refinement to stand out more. SERVICE The welcome is courteous, and the service is generally efficient. During busy periods, the wait can be longer, which is understandable but can slightly impact the experience. AMBIANCE The terrace is the establishment's real asset. Located on Place Aristide Briand, it allows you to fully enjoy the lively atmosphere of the historic center in a convivial setting. Inside, the decor is more traditional but still pleasant. MISCELLANEOUS The location is ideal for a break after a stroll through Pernes-les-Fontaines. However, parking nearby can be more difficult on market days or during peak tourist season. Highlight The terrace and its prime location in the heart of town. Overall, I recommend this place for enjoying a meal or a drink in a pleasant setting. I will gladly return.

Just passing through this lovely little town... We were looking for a restaurant to eat in and enjoy some music... we received a fantastic welcome from a great team... we had a really great evening, we'll definitely be back... A big shout-out to Vanessa, the pétanque expert! 🤪

A no-frills bistro/restaurant, ideal for lunch. The atmosphere is pleasant and fresh. The service was enjoyable thanks to a smiling and attentive waitress. The meal was good. A small suggestion: rename the "Fish & Chips" to "Breaded Fish, Chips, and Tartar Sauce," as the dish more accurately reflects this description. This would avoid any confusion for fans of traditional fish and chips. A simple and friendly place.

The fries were inedible, hard and overcooked.
