Café de la Place sur Pernes-Les-Fontaines

Already the map on the site was not up to date, we had chosen this restaurant based on the site map. 1st disappointment. The new very basic menu, classic brasserie but hey, we made do and the dishes weren't bad. Except the entrecôte requested rare and arrived medium rare. But it was changed for one with good cooking. On the other hand, the service..... We had the impression of disturbing, of boring. One of the two young women a little nicer than the other but the young woman who seemed to be responsible, wow Not a smile, but not pleasant at all.

So, we came several times, quite satisfied overall, sometimes a bit of a long wait on the terrace on sunny days, there was REALLY one person missing but hey... no worries, it can happen, the food was Good ; but last night: a disaster!!! Really disappointed 😞! My mother sits on a chair, 2 minutes later her butt is soaked (apparently following water damage to the ceiling) the waiter (very friendly) changes her chair, which 5 minutes later also disgorges all its water from the seat, forced to take a 3rd, which was dry, well my 80 year old mother still spent her entire meal with a wet butt...not cool! Then before ordering we are told that there are 5 missing dishes, (or starters) because we are between "2 menus" that is still quite a restriction on a menu that is not huge... If we had known that before we would have waited for the news... In short, we fall back on the dishes of the day: the sauerkraut, really not great, not to mention "the meat", only fat and a sausage so hard that it was inedible... The “truffle pasta” wasn’t great either honestly, in short, it was a bit much!!! The waiter offered a coffee, ok nice but... I don't think that will be enough to make us come back.

The perfect type of establishment that I enjoy. Courteous and smiling welcome, professional and efficient service. Appropriate portions and good quality and presentation. A very small downside, the icing on the cake would have been fresh fries, but hey...easy parking, splendid terrace. I recommend.

Typical village café, but very distinctive and original, with custom-made ironwork and a friendly atmosphere. Comfortable and well frequented, the places are at leisure: indoors or on the terrace which must be well shaded in summer under these plane trees. Welcoming and friendly staff. Ideal for your appointments at the town hall, right next to...

By chance, without reservation, a nice room, pleasant service and follow-up. We will come back !

We had a great time, especially thanks to our server who was particularly friendly and patient! The food was also very good! We will gladly come back !

J'y suis allée 2-3 fois, le cadre est sympa, la cuisine c'est OK même si niveau rapport qualité/prix je dirais qu'il y a des choses à revoir mais soit, ce que je tiens à souligner est qu'il faudrait vraiment mettre à jour les horaires et jours d'ouverture car si on en croit Google, vous êtes ouverts 7j/7, ce qui est faux. En tout cas le lundi soir, vous n'êtes pas ouverts. Ne font pas non plus de formule petit-déjeuner alors que c'est censé être un café ?? Bizarre.

Café sympathique au coeur du village. Grande terrasse agréable.
