What a joy, what a pleasure to have discovered this establishment in Capbreton! The food is excellent, the staff is top-notch, with formidable efficiency and equally formidable kindness! Proof: we went there four times (at lunchtime) in a row!!! As soon as we return to Capbreton, I'm going back to this restaurant...several times, for sure! As a big thank you to the whole team at Café de la Place! And as I told the owner myself: "Don't change a thing, everything is so wonderful here!" See you very soon!

A place where you feel right at home ❤️ A warm welcome, impeccable service, authentic and delicious cuisine... it's a place we love to come back to, and come back to!!! Right in the heart of downtown Capbreton, don't hesitate to go there, open all day, even for a morning coffee, reading the newspaper when the town wakes up.... in short, a place just the way we like them ❤️

30/11/2025: The mezze format is quite nice, and the food is of a good standard. It's a shame the service isn't up to the same standard. We ordered a glass of wine, and the waitress offered us a taste before pouring it. After tasting it, we decided to order something else. The waitress then clumsily remarked, "If I had known, I wouldn't have opened the bottle." The standard practice in the industry is to offer customers a taste before serving them wine. There's no harm done if a customer changes their mind when it comes to wine by the glass. This kind of behavior detracts from the customer experience and undermines the work of the kitchen. It's a shame.
14/11/2025: We celebrated our wedding anniversary there. The food was exquisite and the welcome warm. We have wonderful memories of this special occasion. We will gladly return.
