Cafe de l'industrie sur Saint-Germain-En-Laye

Food was good. Staff very child friendly

The €25 lunch menu is decent, if not exceptional, and the service on the terrace is very good. However, several aspects leave much to be desired. The price of wine by the carafe is far too high considering the price of the set menu. It's an extra charge that ultimately makes the bill rather unappealing. Another disappointment: the selection of draft beers is very limited. There's only one American beer and a few basic beers, with no truly interesting alternatives. For a restaurant in this price range, one would expect a bit more choice. But the most surprising point is the dessert. It's impossible to replace the "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with coffee) with a "thé gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with tea) in the set menu, on the pretext that tea is more expensive. This argument is perplexing: the cost of ingredients for tea, like that for coffee, remains very low. Refusing this simple substitution gives the impression of an excessively rigid pricing policy for a seemingly negligible difference in cost. In short, a €25 plan that could be appealing, but certain business decisions and a lack of flexibility clearly spoil the experience. At that price, one has the right to expect more choice and a little more consideration for the customer.

We came to this bistro with our one-month-old baby, who was hungry and crying. We were a little worried about bothering them, but we didn't feel judged at all, quite the opposite! The staff immediately made us feel very comfortable and were lovely and kind. It's so nice to find a place where you can come with a toddler without feeling self-conscious. Everything is designed for families, right down to the changing table! And in addition to this truly exceptional welcome, we had a delicious meal: an excellent bistro, warm and definitely kid-friendly. We'll definitely be back!

A must-see spot in the Saint-Germain-en-Laye market square

Okay, this isn't some Michelin-starred, gourmet restaurant where everything is swimming in foams and radish slices. It's a bistro, that's all. But it's a really good bistro overlooking the market, where everyone is welcomed like a friend by the ever-smiling staff. The dishes are hearty, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From beef tartare to sea bream fillet, the cooking is expertly prepared, just the way we like it. The service is friendly, efficient, and attentive. We go there regularly and are always delighted. Not to mention that the prices are more than reasonable. Quite the opposite of its neighbor on the market steps.

Old-fashioned brasserie. Efficient, friendly, reasonably priced

First time at Café de l'Industrie for a friend's birthday dinner. Superb welcome, attentive service, and delicious, generous portions. Special mention to the two or three waitresses who looked after us. We were very well served. We left absolutely delighted and will definitely be back!

We had a very good meal. It was quite busy this evening, so there was a slight wait for our food, but Hakim, our waiter, kept things cheerful throughout. Many thanks to him for his professionalism and friendly manner. Reasonable prices for a meal in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

Beautiful establishment, well-maintained, friendly staff

Efficient service and a friendly welcome. Nice atmosphere overall, with a beautiful view of the square that really stands out.
