We arrived on July 18th, after a long drive to the café on the Cours, which serves relatively late, unlike other restaurants.
We had a wonderful meal! The chicken curry skewers were perfectly cooked and seasoned, neither too much nor too little. The side dish was fries, but the real highlight was a kind of tomato confit with caramelized onions—simply divine!
My daughter had tagliatelle with Roquefort cheese. The portion was reasonable, not overloaded with cream, just the right amount, perfectly balanced.
For dessert, I savored the homemade nougat glacé: smooth, creamy, crunchy, with pistachio and other flavors—little wonders to surprise your taste buds.
This bistro is a delightful discovery, completely unexpected and comforting.
Visit now! The Café du Cours is in the heart of the beautiful wine village of Vacqueyras. We have eaten at the here several times over the last few years including yesterday. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding and friendly and the value for money is truly amazing. Needless to say the wines are very good. Eating outside under the plane trees is magical. The bar is also excellent and you can obtain a drink through the day and evening,
Do you love pieds paquets, that dish from the Provençal garrigue, wild and rugged, whose sauce makes your taste buds sing and sticks to your lips as if to prevent the taste and aromas from escaping? Go to the Café du Cours in Vacqueyras and enjoy it with a carafe of red wine... it's simple, I had it twice!
