We found this typical French bar/restaurant by chance. We drove up from L’Isle sur la Sorgue, and met with friends who cycled to Beaumes. Simple menu, they were able to accommodate one of our party, who’s veggie, by not including charcuterie on the plate. The people were friendly. We loved it.

The welcome was very friendly, but there was a slight confusion when ordering because the service was very quick. We wanted the set menu with a starter, main course, and dessert. We only received one main course, and when we tried to clarify, the server was uncooperative and said the order was complete. I was then supposed to pay €60 for half a liter of house wine, two pastis, and two main courses… which I refused to do, and I subsequently spoke to the owner. She apologized and offered me a complimentary limoncello. In the end, I paid €45. It's a real shame because the food was truly excellent. While we were still sitting there, the server gossiped about us. That's not helpful. :( We've been there before in recent years, and I praised the restaurant then. My recommendation: perhaps a change of staff.

Guests, including their dogs, are warmly welcomed here. It's like eating at Mom's. Fresh ingredients, a clear menu on the chalkboard. Cooked with passion by the owner and chef. Lots of locals, it reminded me of the local bars from my time in Tuscany. Just arrive, settle in, enjoy – all uncomplicated and welcoming. If you're looking for authentic French cuisine, this is the place for you.

The service was fairly quick, simple, and pleasant, with a shaded outdoor area and music played through a rather large speaker. The bar has reasonable prices. I highly recommend it.

A very warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a real family feel. From the owner to the waitresses and waiters, everyone is incredibly attentive and always greets you with a smile. We've been going for three years in a row, and the atmosphere is always the same: the owner is always cheerful, and the waitress Mélina is always fantastic. Are you stopping in Beaumes-de-Venise?
