I had breakfast before catching my train. Very convenient, as it's right at the bottom of the stairs at St. Charles station. Excellent food (sandwiches, focaccia, drinks, desserts, etc.). The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.

We went there multiple times during our trip to Marseille, the menu changes daily which is very nice as they focus on fresh ingredients. The staff were really friendly, the cafe has a cool aesthetic and the food is super good, lovely homemade style food. The earl grey tea is fantastic aswell. They serve lunch between 12-2, we found that after about 1:30-1:40 they might be sold out of some items, so if you want to be able to try anything on the menu, I would recommend going closer to 12. You can check their daily menu on their Instagram, they post it as a story @cafelecomotive

20/05/2026: Pizza: it's the opposite of Catalan Tripletta: the sauce is very good but not the dough, it's too hard. Otherwise, the food is fairly average. A good, very Marseilles atmosphere.
