I'm hesitant to share my latest discovery in Bayonne for fear it will be overrun... Café Rhubarbe is a tiny coffee shop but with a lovely terrace! I've already been 3 or 4 times to try the chai, matcha, and ube latte... always accompanied by a homemade pastry (the cookies and rhubarb cake are delicious). I highly recommend it, and even though it's quite busy some Saturdays, I get takeout to enjoy in town.

If you're looking for a quiet spot in Bayonne, perfect for strolling while still being in the city center, head to Café Rhubarbe. From the terrace, you'll see the covered market, the cathedral spires, and all this in a cozy atmosphere. Laurent, the owner, welcomes you with great warmth and delicious treats he makes himself. I highly recommend it. Go ahead and indulge; life is short, and in Bayonne, a little indulgence is definitely not a bad thing.

I absolutely love Café Rhubarbe!! I often go there for a coffee on the terrace and to enjoy the picture-perfect setting 👀 It has a lovely atmosphere, the products are delicious and made with love and passion (special mention for the salted caramel/peanut cookie). A big thank you to Laurent for his always warm and friendly welcome. Honestly, it's hard not to go back again and again!! If you appreciate good things and especially (really) good coffee, I highly recommend this place which will make your day even sweeter 😊

A very nice café. I'm a hot chocolate lover and I must say I wasn't disappointed by this local product. It's a 70% cocoa chocolate made with whole milk. Of course, hot chocolate without cookies is like a day without sunshine. So I treated myself to a homemade 40% milk chocolate and hazelnut cookie. Delicious! Thank you 😋🍪☕
