Went on 15 Aug 2026, basically trying our luck as we saw Google review posted 3 days ago. The place is closed as per the status posted, no notice on the area about when it will be open back

The Halle Saint Pierre is a must-see in Montmartre; a cozy little café, a bookstore with an incredible selection of books, and consistently interesting exhibitions. The most recent one was "The Fabric of Dreams"—it's a shame the exhibition catalog was sold out!

It's a cultural space in the middle of the St. Pierre fabric market. It's wonderful, with an amazing café, art bookstore, free exhibitions in the entrance hall, and paid exhibitions upstairs. It's well worth a visit for anyone on their way to Sacre Coeur, or returning from a tour. Or even just to spend a few hours in the Halle Saint Pierre.

Only came here for the bookstore, which had a great variety. I had hoped for more English books (there were a few) but that's no fault of the bookstore, of course.

Lovely venue for an art exhibit with a gorgeous cafe and bookshop on the ground floor. Nestled at the base of Sacre Coeur it’s a respite from the crowds of tourists. We saw an amazing textile exhibit there in July 2026!

25/08/2026: The food is quite good, especially the chocolate mousse. The service is very slow overall, even though they have staff. The kitchen is quick, but it takes a while for the dishes to arrive.
