There are many selections of chocolate here with very lovely staffs who are quite helpful. However they don’t really speak English The chocolate here has very nice taste but the texture is not silky enough. As the price is fair, you don’t have much complains about it. Just enjoy it! However the gelatos are quite rough and bad .

Cold welcome, no greeting upon entering, and no response to mine either. (Apparently, the shop didn't take note of a previous comment from another review mentioned below). Also, a long wait for someone to get around to taking my order, despite the shop being nearly empty. The service is disorganized! The lemon cake? It wasn't what I expected; it was a plain cake with lemon coulis. They could make the same cake with raspberry, orange, apple, etc. The clafoutis? Very disappointing! And the ice cream éclairs? I was expecting fresh choux pastry filled with ice cream, but it tasted like a frozen Thiriet product. On the other hand, I appreciated the ambiance and the air conditioning.

The place aims to compete with its neighbor across the street, with an upscale atmosphere, but it feels like it's still in its early stages. We bought some chocolates as gifts, had two ice creams and a coffee there. The ice cream was good, as was the coffee, which was quite nicely presented. Price-wise, it's on the higher end for this type of establishment, so we expect the service to match, and that's where things fall short. Firstly, it's not a huge deal, but being served after two tables that arrived later is rather unpleasant, especially with a child. The tables should be cleaned, there shouldn't be a missing caramel on an extra-caramel coffee, and you shouldn't have to ask for a spoon to eat your vanilla ice cream, which ends up with strawberry because the spoon wasn't rinsed properly. And when you buy milk and dark chocolate marshmallow bears, you don't expect them to be 100% dark chocolate. There is potential, but many things need to be reviewed to be in line with the desired image and the prices charged.

Superb experience at Carré Noir. Fast and very welcoming service, always with a smile 🤓 The place is well laid out, spacious, and cool during the summer. We really enjoyed the coolness, in addition to a delicious treat. Because that's the whole point... The ice cream sundaes are delicious (and very generous...), the chocolates are exquisite. This is the third time I've visited this ice cream and chocolate shop with my son, and we're just as delighted as ever. The milkshakes are absolutely delicious, flavorful, and perfectly made. It's a real treat every time! The service is also impeccable: the staff is friendly, pleasant, and attentive. We always feel very welcome. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Good ice cream. I’m going to go bank to try the chocolate fondue. I really hope they will keep serving ice cream all year round as there’s no where in Albertville to get good ice cream outside of summer.

Everything is perfect! The ice cream, the marshmallows, the service, the atmosphere... Impeccable, don't change a thing. P.S.: The best ice cream I've ever had.
