Castor Hotel sur Marolles

From the very morning, the enterprise opposite where the trucks enter begins to operate. And also the hotel staff with carts that are very noisy, well, this can be understood somehow... but when they are in they start talking very loudly, thereby not caring about the people who are sleeping at this time, this is too much. This didn't happen once or twice, it happened almost all the time.

A reservation made late (Friday 4 p.m. for the same night) we were very well received by Nathalie who showed great professionalism despite my recurring calls for access codes. She stayed well after closing hours to give everyone the time they needed to settle in properly. The rooms are basic, but clean and it is efficient for one night. All-you-can-eat breakfast, and very varied.

Good value for money with a hearty breakfast on the terrace. Small downside, it is extremely hot in the rooms and when you open the window there are lots of mosquitoes. I nevertheless recommend it, one of the best value for money in the area.

Staff is super nice and it is actually not a hotel but a motel. So you park the car in front of your room and it's actually perfect if you're just passing through. Rooms are quite spacious and clean and the bathroom is somewhat small, but everything is there. Breakfast is in a small room, kind of living room style. We didn't expect much given the price of 8.50, but we were pleasantly surprised. Coffee, tea, milk, apple juice, etc. fresh fruit, bread, eggs, spreads, pancakes, yogurt, muesli. You name it. Read that it is complicated to obtain your key card after closing time, but I have doubts about that. Enter the gate code because the site is closed, enter the last 4 digits of your telephone number and your surname in the machine. Child can do the laundry. If you come by electric car, within 2 km there is a Lidl with 2 x a 175 kWh charger and in the village further on there are 4 chargers with 525 kWH (a bit difficult to find but fastest chargers ever seen) Note to the owners. Why is the smoke detector off the ceiling?

Very well received during an express trip to the area. The room is well laid out and spacious. The large bed is comfortable, the bedding is clean and comfortable. It's convenient to have parking in front of the rooms which are on the ground floor like in America. The town is 5 minutes by car and there is a gas station 1 km away at the Leclerc center in Vitry le Francois. Work is underway in June 2024 to improve this hotel but will not affect comfort.

We had a great stay at the Eqynox Hotel. Located in a quiet area and close to the Octogone restaurant, it offers private and secure parking. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Only small downside: the work in progress on the site, but this did not affect our stay too much. We recommend this hotel for a pleasant and relaxing stay.
