While passing through Saint-Riquier, we were delighted to visit the Abbey of Saint-Riquier, which revealed its history and some of its secrets. The services of Eloïse, our guide, were perfect, humble, and thorough. We highly recommend this place for its solemnity and beauty, as well as our guide, who conducted the tour brilliantly.

This was a chatgpt recommended place, as a slight diversion off route. Most disappointing place. Yes historic, but that is where it stops. Dirty cobwebs filled windows, which we found quite disrespectful for the nature of the building. Uninspiring at best !!

Spectacular building with unusually white stone. Look for the WW1 vandalism. Free entry. Free parking on the square outside (~30 spaces?). Little cafe adjacent to the square that is part bookies! Normal cafe section through the back.
