Impeccable service. No wait. The food is generous and very good. Beautiful seafood platters. One drawback: the noise level in the dining room is far too high given the very large number of tables (too many!). Tables for two are very close together, which isn't very pleasant! Reservations are essential.

Disappointing! I had the chance to go when it was under the previous owner and it was delightful, but now it's gone downhill considerably. Really disappointed!

The food is still good but the choice of the daily menu is too limited, just two dishes, the service and atmosphere are less warm, not everyone can be Patricia, and the value for money has jumped by €20 for two people, in summary our choice of Chatentonneau will no longer be a priority for a restaurant outing.

Taking over an institution like the Charentonneau is no easy task, and even if the setting has been rejuvenated, an effort needs to be made in terms of cuisine and presentation to regain its former glory and its unbeatable value for money.

We've been coming since 1992, and we were sad that Patricia didn't tell us in November 2025 that she was retiring. However, we received a very warm welcome today and had a wonderful lunch. Everything was excellent. See you soon. (Mrs. Laverdure)

31/03/2026: We had a wonderful time. The food was refined, and the portions were just right. As always in very good restaurants, the servers go above and beyond, and the owner takes the time to chat with each guest.
30/03/2026: We had a lovely evening, the service was impeccable, the dishes were refined and delicious, and the tables were well spaced. We ordered two tasting menus and one main course and dessert menu; all the dishes were amazing.

28/03/2026: A very pleasant setting, a very warm and attentive welcome. The galettes and crêpes are original and excellent. A wide selection to suit all tastes, from classic to more refined and sophisticated. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.
