Chateau de la Tour de Salvagny - FERMÉ sur La Tour-De-Salvagny

I've read some almost rave reviews, but I'll take that with a grain of salt. It's a good restaurant, the setting is beautiful, the building's renovation is very well done, the food was good, and the service was friendly and professional. But I felt they didn't quite live up to the comments I'd read. Was it because of those comments that I wasn't blown away? Certainly, they raised my expectations, and the simplicity of the dishes at our dinner seemed far too simple. As for the price, the bill wasn't too steep. I would still recommend it, though, because if I go back to Lyon, I plan to return this time without reading any reviews and form my own opinion.

Fantastic experience! We loved the atmosphere of this beautiful restaurant. The servers were excellent, no complaints whatsoever. The food was also superb. We'll definitely be back!

New review for a new experience, this time indoors in the fall. The duck leg with dauphinoise potatoes was perfect, well-cooked and well-seasoned; the apple and pear tarte tatin was very good, accompanied by quality vanilla ice cream. The service was welcoming and very friendly; we will be back! ————- For a great lunch in the summer without breaking the bank in a very pretty setting. We had a barbecue buffet for around twenty euros. Although classic, the salads for starters were well-prepared and well-seasoned. The meats were good, the side dishes well-cooked, special mention for the beef which was delicious!

I celebrated my birthday with my whole family, there were about thirty of us. We played pétanque all afternoon, then we had dinner there. Everything was perfect! The staff is attentive and very pleasant, the setting is superb and the prices are very affordable. I highly recommend it!
