Unique setting for eating. On the wall a collection of all kinds of knight attributes, books, kitschy light elements: you will be amazed. Menu very clear: limited number of table chairs which created an intimate atmosphere. House aperitif, appetizers: everything slightly different but no less tasty! Friendly husband-wife team who seem to prepare everything together on the spot. The food came out a bit too quickly in our opinion, which made it seem a bit rushed, but that was the only downside during this unique restaurant experience. Reservations are a must but they respond quickly by email. Recommended!

Here we are in the Poitevine countryside in an annex of the Marconnay castle. We cross an aisle loaded with furniture and trinkets of all kinds, flea market type, and we arrive in the restaurant room with its rustic and busy decor. No fuss here, the welcome is simple and without manners. Appetizers accompany the aperitif. The cuisine is classic and excellent. Special mention to the duo of foie gras and scallops as a starter. It's generous and succulent. We chose the veal and doe for the main course: it was perfect. The menu is certainly not huge but the products are quality. Only remark: a kitchen hood would be welcome because the smoke reaches the room a little. The prices are very reasonable. The family dog ​​"Fantomas" visits us, just to steal a pet or two. This unpretentious restaurant really deserves to be known. We will come back for the sunny days to enjoy the outdoors and we will book, if possible, the visit to the castle at the same time. Well done to the cook.
