We came here on the recommendation of a woman selling at the market on the Promenade des Anglais. She recommended this place and said the socca was much better than the one sold at Place Pierre Gautier. And it was really great. First of all, there's a place to sit, a short line, and you can buy a socca. We highly recommend it, great atmosphere, good food, and a cool place. While visiting Nice, it's a great place to sit down and enjoy a good socca.

I've been coming here for years but I was disappointed. A lukewarm and dry socca for €3.80 (the most expensive in Nice) – I'll go to another establishment next time!

The socca at René Socca is delicious, and the portions are generous. The prices are very reasonable; you can have a full meal without breaking the bank. The bar also boasts excellent rock music and a wide selection of beers. And let's not forget the spacious patio.

Fantastic flavors and very friendly legends behind the counter. The lovely staff at the neighboring wine bar were so friendly with my awful French and the cote du Rhône red by the glass was silk across my tongue. C’est fantastique!

perfect place to try the authentic socca, and a bit of everything! Loved the small portions so we could sample different dishes. If you never had socca before, go for the original (without toppings)- which was recommended by the staff and thankful he did, loved it so much🤩

True to form.
The welcome is typical of Nice, and the socca, pissaladière, and chard tart are all excellent.
However, be aware of the pigeons and seagulls that sometimes hang around.

AI rated this a the Best socca in Old Town Nice. I'm not sure if it is the Best but it was very good. And, the walk to get here took us through some beautiful back streets.
