René Socca is a must-visit in Nice. It's a place from my childhood that I return to every time I'm in the city, and it's always a real pleasure.
If you want to discover Niçoise specialties in an authentic setting, this is the place for you. The little benches, the wooden tables, the friendly atmosphere… everything is there for a truly Niçoise experience.
The staff is very busy, given the number of customers, but we received a very warm welcome. I think that when you respect the work of those who dedicate themselves to their craft, that respect is reciprocated. Despite the crowds, we were served with a smile and had a wonderful time. An address I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will return with great pleasure! Florence.

If you're looking for peace and quiet and attentive service, this isn't the place for you. However, if you want to experience authentic Niçoise street food, this is the perfect spot! The queue is part of the local color, but it moves quickly. You order your specialties directly at the counter: the socca is excellent, hot and crispy, the pissaladière is delicious, and the stuffed vegetables or zucchini blossom fritters are a real treat.
The concept is simple: you get your food at the counter on one side, and you can sit on the terrace, provided you order a drink at the bar opposite. It's friendly, a little noisy, very lively, in short... typical of Old Nice! Excellent value for money for a quick bite.

Everything is beautiful! Everything is delicious at René Socca. The team in the kitchen is lovely, full of thoughtful touches that make the culinary experience even more magical. I highly recommend this wonderful place. Greetings from Grenoble!
