Chez dolly sur Malakoff

Small Indian restaurant, reasonably priced but big on talent. Traditional cuisine (Goa).

My partner and I had dinner at Dolly's, a small, unassuming Indian restaurant. We opted for the set menu (starter, main course, dessert) for 15 euros and were delighted. The samosas and spring rolls were a crisp and flavorful appetizer. Then came the main courses: chicken xacuti with rice and chicken biryani. In both dishes, the chicken was incredibly tender, accompanied by onions and fried onions in their respective sauces, perfectly spiced and generously portioned. For dessert, we had an upside-down coconut cream topped with caramel and a dollop of whipped cream—fresh and indulgent—and a warm, delicious, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate brownie with whipped cream. A wonderful discovery!

A tiny restaurant (two tables for two) that doesn't look like much. But the customers know better and many order takeout. Simple but excellent Indian cuisine. I recommend the vegetable samosas as a starter and let yourself be tempted by the daily special.

I tried several dishes both in-house and to take away, and the result was always the same: they were so well-prepared and so delicious. They definitely deserve their ratings.

I travelled from England to Paris and this was one of the best restaurants that I visited whilst here. Dolly was friendly and provided quick service. Her chicken biriyani, chicken tikka, chicken korma, pilau, and green beans was delicious. Above all the cheese chapati was stupendous. We also had the mix fruit crumble which was amazing 🤩 Would highly recommend and will come back soon !!
