Chez Gaby sur Versailles

It is a pleasant place with exceptional treatment.

The chef is very nice, he cooks very well and you can tell he loves what he does! Very family atmosphere and on sunny days the terrace is very pleasant.

A great bar, we went there with friends for a drink and it was memorable as always. The beers are good and not too expensive, the roasted Camembert is a real delight (impossible to reproduce, although I tried). The fries are homemade and crispy as can be. I came to have a drink and left with a full stomach.

I highly recommend this small restaurant in the Saint-Louis district, very close to the cathedral. The boss and the chef accepted our time constraints, and with a smile! They served us delicious home cooking. A piece of veal with mushroom sauce and homemade fries! We had a blast! We will come back.

So, I tried Chez Gaby and it’s clearly THE spot for a meal that pleases! I ordered a steak with fries, and honestly... I almost asked to speak to the chef, just to say "Well done, champion!" The steak? Perfection. Tender, juicy, cooked just the way I like it (and yet, I'm the picky type). The fries? Crunchy as it should be, golden to perfection, and with that little taste that makes you say: “One more, just to be sure…” (Spoiler: I finished it all).The service? Fast and so nice that you almost feel like you're at grandma's house on a Sunday. In short, if you are looking for a place to eat well and have a good time, go to Gaby. But be careful, after that, your other favorite restaurants may look dim!”

We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon with friends and had a great time. A passionate chef who is perfectly aware of his products which he works himself, concerned about the pleasure of his customers, we will come back with great pleasure. Note that the cocktails are a very good discovery 🍸

It's a really quiet pub. Not much going around.

Restaurant discovered by chance during a walk in the neighborhood. I then spoke with the chef who made me want to come back later for lunch in his establishment… Something done today in this restaurant a stone's throw from St Louis Cathedral. Friendly pair. Simple, fresh and efficient cuisine. Very good lunch menu at €19: starter of eggs with homemade mayonnaise and veal steak served with tender new potatoes. The bread offered is also of good quality. I am completely satisfied with my experience and will happily return. I understood from my exchange that the chef arrived quite recently. Previous reviews on the kitchen may therefore no longer be relevant.

Very nice find, a bit by chance, in the Saint-Louis district, a stone's throw from the cathedral. The pair is friendly, the chef speaks with great pleasure about his work. I understand that he recently took over running the kitchen (so I guess the old posts about the cooking part are losing relevance). The cuisine is simple, efficient, fresh and good. I am very satisfied with my starter and main course menu at 19 euros. The two eggs with homemade mayonnaise as well as the veal steak and its new potatoes were very good. I am completely satisfied with my experience and will return regularly.

A real old-fashioned bistro that we like and home cooking from starters to desserts!! I highly recommend 👌
