Excellent cuisine, particularly bouillabaisse and fish, as well as desserts.

Maybe a bad evening. We had to wait more than 10 minutes after being seated (by reception) for us to come; the boy replied that no one had told him. Otherwise, the service was adequate. The meal finished, I asked for the bill, .....after about fifteen minutes, I got up to ask for it again. I got it from another person who seems responsible for the bills, I paid but not without receiving a derogatory comment because I inserted my card into the machine myself. I don't think the server had anything to do with it, it's the other person who seems to be the problem. I'm here for 2 weeks, I won't go back this year, it was good in previous years, Maybe next year.

Not cheap but very good, traditional chic well executed and friendly. The restaurant is like fish: in its own juice.

Meals that met expectations, whether meat, fish, drinks, etc., everything is there. Despite the demand, this restaurant does not do sorting, with 3 children including a baby the reservation is accepted without problem, a big plus for us which shows the state of mind of the restaurant. I naturally recommend!

Chez Gilbert sa gouaille, sa façon de parler et de faire un show rien que pour cela , sont restaurant vaut le déplacement, il travaille en famille avec sa fille, un cirque bien rodé, et une carte parfaite quelque poissons, un seul menu, et la fameuse Bouillabaisse avec ces quatre poissons, ces croutons et son incontournable rouille, arrosé d'un excellent vin blanc de cassis "domaine du paternel" ou l'on doit vendre un rein..... pour se payer la bouteille, bref un excellent repas devant le port de Cassis par un beau soleil, aller Gilbert continue à nous faire rêver.

There are many restaurants along the beach but chez Gilbert just stood out for me. The guests were mostly french speaking and the restaurant itself looked organized and clean. I was so happy I ended up at chez Gilbert. The food was very good, the fresh fish was excellent, simply grilled, not over-dried. The service was very friendly, not rushed and just perfect. The overall ambiance was amazing and it did not break the bank. I really liked it and will go back again. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.
