Chez Gilbert sur Cassis

Fantastic spot in the port of Cassis. While it's a bit more expensive than the average for the area, it's well worth it; the fish is spectacular. Excellent staff and a great atmosphere.

It looks like a tourist restaurant, but it's a real restaurant.

Table overlooking the port of Cassis; regular service without too much of a wait (for us, dinner was between 7:30 pm and 9 pm approximately); very good and generous dishes, well cooked and presented. I recommend it.

The food and the place are excellent, the service is pleasant.

I discovered this restaurant by chance two years ago. I wanted to return during a visit to the Calanques, and the food is still just as good; the fresh ingredients are prepared and cooked perfectly. The prices are a bit high, but it's right on the port of Cassis, facing the castle and the boats—the location is worth the price, and it's justified. I recommend it without hesitation.

A delicious bouillabaisse that exceeded my expectations! A real treat!

Visited the restaurant as it was recommended for its bouillabaisse. We found the food was overpriced. Service was slow. Other than bouillabaise, the dishes were good. Perhaps bouillabaise is not for us.
