Chez Hibou sur Bordeaux

Had an incredible lunch here last week and still thinking about it now. Menu is seasonal and every item we tried was light, fresh and delicious. Service was outstanding - warm without being overbearing. My French is not the best and both owners were incredibly helpful, advising on the menu and answering all questions in English. Atmosphere was tranquil and very relaxing. Could not recommend this place more and will be returning soon. Genuinely special place.

Exquisite flavors, tradition, warm welcome… an address to remember

Excellent Chinese cuisine right in the heart of historic Bordeaux. There are many vegan and vegetarian options that are outstanding. Atmosphere is quiet and tranquil for a relaxed meal, just off the beaten path.

A warm welcome and authentic cuisine. The dishes are generous, flavorful, and prepared with care. Excellent value for money. The restaurant is also air-conditioned, which is very welcome during the heatwave. An address that perfectly reflects the spirit of a true Chinese restaurant.

An exceptional place! Everything was absolutely delicious, from the presentation of the dishes to the flavors. Each plate was a true delight for the eyes and the taste buds. We left with only one desire: to return! It's such a shame we don't live in Bordeaux, otherwise we would come very often. The owner is also wonderful: warm, attentive, and exceptionally kind. Thank you for this magnificent experience; we wholeheartedly recommend this place!

The black pepper beef is very good, the service is fast and the team is absolutely lovely!

The setting is truly beautiful and chic, with plenty of space. We thoroughly enjoyed the food; the homemade boiled dumplings were excellent. The mapo tofu dish was delicious and suitable for vegetarians; I would have just added a minced meat option, but otherwise, it was very flavorful! The portions were generous, and the waitresses and managers were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
