Chez le Russe sur Toulon

When I read some of the reviews, I wonder what they're after... I live in Sanary and for several years now, whenever I pass by Chez Pitchou, I stock up on brioches, olive oil bread, fougasse, and other bread... because I haven't found anything comparable anywhere else (in terms of quality and price). It may not be very busy, but it's a truly authentic, old-fashioned bakery with a real baker. As for the service, the people behind the counter, whether employees or the owner, are always very pleasant and friendly.

The bread is very good, but the service definitely needs improvement. Not a smile, the person is cold, doesn't guide you, and doesn't explain how things work. I really feel like I'm bothering them every time. Despite that, the bread is very good and keeps better than a mass-produced baguette.

Simply the best bakery in Toulon. Simple and efficient, they always offer the same products, but perfectly executed. You won't find croissants, donuts, or other trendy specialties here, but rather traditional products: olive oil bread, olive fougasse, as well as more original items like kanelbulle (cinnamon buns), and a variety of breads, each as delicious as the next, with enough variety to keep things interesting. They also have fantastic focaccia sandwiches with delicious drinks (organic teas or sodas). What's rare in this type of business is that the prices are affordable, even downright low for 100% organic products. It's good, healthy, and affordable—unfortunately, all too rare these days!

Very, very good bread. I recommend trying all the breads, especially the baguettes. 👍 Thank you so much for these delicious loaves. But on Mondays, after a day off work on Sunday, we need bread, And unfortunately, there are no croissants and... for breakfast. Thank you very much.

The staff were very friendly and the pastries were excellent. It's a shame they had to stop serving the coffee they kindly offered to accompany the pastries. I highly recommend this bakery :)
