A bit of a disappointment as we booked based on Google reviews… The frozen fries and the cooked mussels were nothing special 🤷🏻♀️ It was also very noisy if you're looking for peace and quiet 😉

I had seen this place on Google Maps and it was highly praised. So we went on Sunday. We hadn't made a reservation 🙈 and it was Father's Day. In Belgium, this is a week earlier. Nevertheless, we were received very kindly. A spot became available after a 5-minute wait. I ordered the Mamalou platter and my husband had mussels with fries. It was super tasty. It reminded me a bit of the "Oesterput" in Blankenberge, but with a more pleasant and better atmosphere because we are "On vacation"🎊.
This place is definitely highly recommended; a spot to stop by and enjoy all the delicious seafood.
The seafood platter is highly recommended. The platters that were sold were also a true feast for the eyes and the palate 😋.
So if you are in the area, definitely come to Chez Mamalou 👌. If you don't want to wait for a spot, I would recommend making a reservation.

Very reasonable prices, a really great welcome with smiling and humorous waitresses. My best experience on Île d'Oléron since we started coming here 👌👏 Have a great season!
