At Omar's, it's always a pleasure, a journey, a convivial experience. The homemade merguez sausages are a delight, the lamb mechoui a treat, the same recipe for over 40 years. Omar's couscous is a crowd-pleaser among Americans, Russians, Middle Easterners, and North Africans. It's also a favorite in the fashion world, especially at fashion week events. I've been wanting to go there for so long! The best couscous of my life and top-notch service! I've lived just a 2-minute walk from this place for 10 years...it was about time and I'm thrilled 🤩 Special mention for the giant pastry platter for dessert ❤️😍😍

The owner is welcoming, and the couscous is good quality and plentiful. The only downside was the waitress, who was completely unprofessional. She helped herself to food during service and sat down at the table in front of mine with her back turned. I politely pointed this out, but she responded even more rudely, telling me she could sit wherever she wanted. Her lack of manners was unbearable. This place deserves much better.
