Chez Omar sur Paris

I love Chez Omar. generous portions of simple delicious North African couscous. The only thing I’d seriously criticize: the vegetable couscous is far too liquid and watery. Deserts are unbelievable: a mini-mountain of baklava and so many others are offered. A pitcher of wine can be had with your meal. The space is old and cozy w spotless linens - well organized by a highly trained of smiling servers. I love Chez Omar. Gigantic portions of simple and delicious North African couscous. A pitcher of wine can accompany the meal. The space is old, comfortable, with impeccable linens, all well organized by smiling and very well trained waiters.

There were 11 of us arriving, including three children aged 5 to 9. The service was remarkable, with particular attention to children, despite a crowded room and the natural disorder caused by a table of 11. All the dishes were excellent.

Alright. Very good couscous...but too noisy.

Dinner at 7:15 p.m. so not many people. I don't see in the negative reviews left here any resemblance to my experience. A very pleasant waiter, very well served couscous, generous in vegetables, with fine semolina which absorbs the broth well, and delicious and well cooked homemade mergez. The boss went around the tables to see if we were enjoying our meal, which is rare. I had a good time here and I invite you to visit this place, which, what's more, is magnificent. We rarely have the opportunity to rediscover this atmosphere of the bistros of yesteryear that have remained in their original state. So for me it’s flawless!

Very fashionable and very popular. The food isn't bad, but from here to being the best couscous in Paris.....

I had lunch on Saturday February 17, 2024 at 1 p.m. I ordered an excellent barbecue but too salty with Green bean fries. An excellent lemon ice cream. 1 mint tea.

A wonderful surprise, I took the merguez couscous, since I am fond of them, they are homemade, a delight. And the pastries are a marvel The only downside for me is that we can't say that the welcome and the staff are super warm.....It's a shame

Food was amazing and good staff

The lamb roast fell off the bone with beautiful crisp on the outside. The rest was rather pedestrian. The service was fine (prob bc I’m American but I did try to speak French!) until the owner came out who was an absolute delight. It was convenient to our airbnb but I would not go out of my way for it nor did I regret eating here.
