Chez Papa sur Paris

Chez Fernand Christine was one of those places we chose in advance, and I preferred to make the reservation from Spain. And we were right. We shared the onion soup and the beef bourguignon. We really enjoyed the soup, although eating it with any dignity requires a bit of technique 😅. The beef bourguignon was spectacular: one of those dishes you just want to keep dipping bread in. And the crème brûlée was the perfect finishing touch. I would definitely go back. The service was excellent: attentive and professional throughout the entire meal. I also appreciated a small detail I hadn't found anywhere else: in the bathroom, instead of toilet paper, there were small individual towels for drying your hands, which were then placed in a basket to be washed. A simple detail, but one that makes all the difference. We had a wonderful meal and felt very comfortable. A place I would definitely return to.

Always a great find! Chez Fernand offers everything you'd expect from a great Parisian bistro: generous, flavorful cuisine, a warm and charming atmosphere. The ambiance is convivial, the service pleasant, and the whole place exudes authenticity. It's a place where you'll have a wonderful time and want to return to again and again.

Although the restaurant was already nearly full, we arrived during peak service and received a very warm welcome. The wine list is impressive and of very high quality, and the food is excellent. The portions are just perfect. All this in a truly Parisian bistro setting—it's delightful!

We made a reservation the day before to secure a table. The onion soup was excellent, and the main courses (Black Angus steak, Beef Bourguignon) were also fantastic! Up to that point, it was a wonderful evening. Unfortunately, neither the booking nor any mention from the staff indicated that the reservation was limited to two hours. After we ordered another bottle of wine, we were informed that we had to leave the restaurant in 20 minutes – we could, of course, take the broken bottle home with us. We decided against dessert. Perhaps the owners could add this information directly to the booking portal, so that at least guests could plan their meal accordingly. The bill was simply placed on the table without being asked after the reservation time had expired. This insensitive "throw-out" unfortunately brought an abrupt end to what had been a lovely evening.

Lovely authentic French food with attentive staff. As others reviews have noted, the restaurant is tightly packeted (tables are very close together - as in touching so an adjoining table has to move if you want to come or go).

We had an amazing eveving at Chez Fernand Christine. Food was delicious, service was easy going like you expact from a brasserie. Vibe was relax and comfy. Moving tables to take your seat makes it an experience by it self. Tip: be suprised by the winelist. 👌🏼👌🏼

Food and service are top notch, however, privacy is a bit of a concern when the tables are so close to each other. I understand the will to fit as many people as possible inside, but…

An exceptional French dining experience from start to finish. The restaurant manages to strike that perfect balance between elegant, upmarket dining and the warmth and richness that makes French cuisine so special. The bone marrow was an absolute standout — beautifully roasted, incredibly rich and silky, with that deep, savoury flavour that only perfectly prepared marrow can deliver. Spread over crusty French bread, it was indulgent, luxurious and quite simply delicious. One of those dishes you find yourself wishing you’d ordered more of. The rest of the meal was equally impressive, with beautifully presented dishes, excellent ingredients and attentive service that made the whole evening feel special. A memorable meal and somewhere I would happily return to. Highly recommended.

The beef bourguignon was so delicious and the dishes my family got were phenomenal as well.
