Chez Papa sur Paris

Went with a group of women and wow. The food was amazing and the setting intimate and cozy. Authentic fresh and delicious. I had sea bass. Omg. I’m not a big fish person. It’s whitefish. And so flavorful!!

The food was absolutely amazing. The escargot and wine were delicious and the food was just perfect. The service was outstanding and the vibe was great.

Fantastic across the board. Food in Paris can be intimidating, but this restaurant is welcoming and the food is delicious. We showed up in prime time to a packed house without a reservation, yet the staff got us seated within 5-10 minutes. Beef Bourguignon was unreal. Wine was great. Music and vibes were terrific. By far the best dinner and most memorable meal in Paris. It is a little bit pricy, but for the whole package, I think it’s worth it.

This may be my new favorite place in Paris. Lovely staff, delicious food, great music, and cozy interior. Make a reservation and be prepared to wait anyway

The food was really delicious and the staff were friendly. There weren't many Koreans, so I liked the atmosphere of being at a local restaurant. The interior is small, so if you have a lot of luggage, you might find it crowded.

For our last dinner in Paris, we decided to go to Chez Fernand in the Saint Germain neighborhood. Very cozy, warm, traditional style bistro. We had made a reservation for an earlier dinner, and we were quickly greeted and seated at our table. Service was really friendly, and the staff spoke very good English. We started with a carafe of house wine, which was very good. For starters, we ordered the leeks with vinaigrette, prepared Josephine style. The leeks were properly cooked and served cold, which was a nice start, especially since it was a very warm day. For our main, we had the pork chop from Maison Montalet with a side of dauphinois potatoes. The pork was melt in your mouth good, served sliced with a very rich sauce. My only small complaint was that even though it was very tender, it was a hot day and the pork was a little fatty, so I did have to cut some of the fat off. The dauphinois potatoes were served in their own small pot and were very nicely prepared. We had a really good evening, and since it was our last dinner in Paris, it felt warm and welcoming. It was also nice to see the classic handwritten menu on the board. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Saint Germain neighborhood.

Tables are a tight squeeze but makes for fun conversation. Food and wine were great although expensive but that’s because it’s a popular restaurant. Probably would skip the beef bourguignon though as I thought it was way too much gravy and not enough vegetables or beef.

We are already dreaming about coming back to Paris and dining here again. The atmosphere delights and welcomes you with the delicious scents of beef bourguignon before you even step in the door. The seating feels like you are being welcomed to the family kitchen and they are delighted to have you dining at their table. Don’t worry about choosing a wine, they will pair it perfectly with your dinner. The signature dish is perfection! A new Paris favorite! We are so thankful the Mimi from Kujken told us we must dine here.

Amazing French onion soup, escargot, and beef bourguignon. Our favorite meal in Paris. We were unfortunately there during the May heat wave so it was over 80 degrees in the restaurant. Not their fault but something to keep in mind if you plan to go when it is warm out.
