Chez Serge sur Carpentras

This is one of those little gems you come across while traveling. Chez Serge is already something of an institution, and you are almost obliged to visit when in Carpentras. Restaurant as such is located in a beautiful building and tastefully decorated (we didn't have the opportunity to visit next door Petit Serge). Food is good, even if servings are on the larger side, but hey, when is that a problem? Had a risotto for mains, very good, my wife had a stunning fish 🐟 and my son took the same lamb he had rhe day before (so good gradeschete!). I then had a lemon tart with merengue crumbles on top for dessert, but the lemon 🍋 taste was a little too explicit, even tart. My son had chocolate with cream that, according to him, was "too big and too chocolaty" ... again, not a huge problem eh.. Service is a bit slow in the beginning and it's quite hard to get the attention from waiters. Youbreally have to look out for them and catch them! As soon as you have been able to make your order, dishes arrive fast-food-place fast... A little too fast in our opinion actually! O dont know if its that the place is small, has few seats snd they want to keep a high customer turn-over, but I for one have. I trouble waiting ten minutes for the food after wine has arrived! All in all, a nice little place.

Excellent cuisine, lots of talent and finesse, impeccable service, very good atmosphere, we had a very nice Easter day and shared an excellent meal, thank you very much

A good restaurant that deserves to stop there when you go to Carpentras. Staff, professional and caring, good wine and I admit very good value for money with seasonal products. A very correct and copious “market menu”. We will come back in fine weather to enjoy the terrace.

A great place if you want to eat tuber melanosporum. In the heart of Carpentras in a well-furnished old house. Serge is an institution if you want to taste truffles accompanied by very good wines, because these are their two passions. Professional service and good advice.

a beautiful place, very professional service and quality cuisine a nice value for the menu at 39 euros a small downside a glass of red wine from the Rhône valley despite the name at 18 euros I find that excessive I would have appreciated for the price that the bottle was presented to me and served to me at the table

At Serge's, a very warm welcome, very hearty meals, the two waitresses are the waiter, an address to recommend, thank you

Beautiful decoration, well received. Intimate room upstairs. Enjoyable food, nice portions. Well-filled truffle omelette and a nice size, but the truffles reveal their flavor better when scrambled. Fairly high prices.
