"Chez Simone" is a must-visit in the Dax region. Be warned, you might drive right past it without stopping, as it's a discreet spot, but it's well worth a detour! A very warm welcome. Pleasant atmosphere, even if a bit noisy due to the restaurant being full. Impeccable service. The €43 set menu is very comprehensive, starting with the traditional garbure soup. Then, a duo of foie gras (plain and pan-seared) and prawns and pig's trotters (generously served), followed by sweetbreads with sautéed potatoes and a duo of scallops and grilled sea bass fillet with baby vegetables (also generously served). Desserts include crème brûlée, profiteroles, and Dame Blanche. The dishes were delicious and generous, served in a friendly atmosphere. We had a very pleasant time and will definitely return. Many thanks for everything. I highly recommend it.

A very warm welcome. Pleasant setting. Impeccable service. We discovered this place for a birthday. The €43 menu was very comprehensive, starting with the traditional garbure soup. Then came a duo of foie gras (one plain and one pan-seared) and another of calf's head ravigote and pig's trotter (generously served). Next, tournedos of beef (a large, very tender cut) with sautéed potatoes, a duo of scallops, and grilled sea bass fillet with baby vegetables (also generously served). Dessert was crème brûlée and Dame Blanche. The dishes were all very good and served in generous portions. It was truly a very positive discovery in every sense of the word.
