Great restaurant! Perfect meal ☺️

The place doesn't look like much. It's in direct competition with the restaurant next door, which is always packed. So we came to this one. And 5 stars for a perfect homemade meal. From the appetizer to the dessert! The chocolate fondant was a delight. Keep up the good work!

We arrived at 9 a.m., without a reservation. We were greeted with a smile. Excellent staff and delicious food.

A very good restaurant, a little outside the city center. Pleasant atmosphere with fresh, well-prepared food. Worth discovering.

Finally, a restaurant on Île de Ré where you can eat real, fresh produce. Pure bliss ❤️

A lovely little restaurant where we had a very good meal (mussels, ice cream) on the shaded terrace. It's set back from the busy streets, so it was very peaceful.

We ate here the day before yesterday; we were a bit on the early side (7:00 PM), which didn't do the atmosphere any good. Squid for starters, and mussels and steak tartare for the main course. The food was definitely not bad and tasted good. Portions are generous enough. However, the service was disappointing, and the lady who served us was probably having an off-day. She couldn't manage a friendly word or a smile. The table next to us, with German tourists, received the same treatment. The Cafe Gourmand wasn't very special, unfortunately. All in all, a 7- by Dutch standards (for the food).

A family atmosphere pervades this restaurant located just a few hundred meters from the center of Les Portes. Home-style cooking, authentic and flavorful dishes, and discreet service. We came two years ago and returned this year with the same pleasure. I wholeheartedly recommend the mussels with blue cheese sauce and homemade fries, and the apricots marinated in rosemary!

An unpretentious restaurant, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, but well worth a stop. The dishes are generous and homemade using a few simple ingredients. The presentation and flavors are particularly noteworthy. I recommend it.
