A warm welcome, excellent service, and coincidentally, the same goes for the contents of the cups and plates. The decor completes the experience, a fantastic and top-notch afternoon tea! Late April 2026: be aware that the upstairs room gets very hot in the sun.

We stopped by for cake and coffee.
It is a sweet place for a large slice of cake and an ok coffee but it is tightly packed in. Given it is nearly €13 for a slice of cake and a hot drink - it is not super expensive but not cheap either given the number of Boulangeries around that you can get a decent cake at for a third the price.
Felt very touristy, a bit of a tourist trap.
I'm glad I went, but wouldn't go back.

A beautiful setting right in the heart of Rouen. The staff are lovely and the food is decent (though a bit pricey for the portion sizes and presentation could be improved). Reservations are recommended if you plan to have lunch there.

A very pretty place with very pleasant staff. The enticing display window invites you to taste and buy, but at a very high price for a slice of cake (3.90)... we bought three different kinds. All three were tasteless, dry, and uninteresting. At that price, you expect better.

We had a wonderful time at Dame Cakes. We went at the end of the day to enjoy their afternoon tea, which included a selection of teas and a delicious pastry. We especially loved the almond, pear, and chocolate crumble. The service and atmosphere were charming. We'll gladly return to try more of their sweet treats 😊

We chose Dame Cakes as our caterer for our wedding (about twenty people) and we weren't disappointed.
They gave us excellent guidance on the quantities, which were perfect.
The preparations, both savory and sweet, were delicious. We received nothing but compliments from our guests, adults and children alike, who thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They're all eager to discover the tea room now. 😉🥰
