Don Peppone sur Gradignan

The Italian pizza is good but the Landes pizza is average, with just duck and uncooked mushrooms, so not very appetizing, without bacon or gizzards.

Good restaurant with quality food and fast service. Special mention for the very generous desserts.

Ragazzi da Peppone pizzeria in Gradignan offers very high-quality pizzas! I had a medium pizza, and it was excellent, generously topped with fresh ingredients. You can really taste the expertise and quality of the ingredients. My only slight complaint is that the prices seem a bit high, but the quality is definitely there. A great place for lovers of authentic Italian pizza!

Fantastic place! The food is delicious, the servers are very pleasant, and the manager is great! Delighted to have discovered Peponne, and especially the one in Gradignan. A shout-out to the manager!

With its small facade overlooking the main avenue, the surprise is immediate upon entering: a space with several tables and an upstairs area promises a pleasant experience – you're in Italy! The decor is typical and welcoming, and a smiling greeting completes your arrival. The menu is Italian, featuring local products. It's not just about pizza! Salads, pasta, and other dishes round out the offerings. A quick glance at the desserts confirms my suspicion: I'm in for a treat. And so it was, but I was disappointed by my salad: a small slice of toasted bread, cut in half, topped with lightly cooked tomato cubes seasoned with a light pesto (I think), a chiffonade of Italian ham (three bites), a large ball of Italian cheese cut into slices and laid across the plate, drizzled with olive oil, and a mound of romaine lettuce topped with mesclun salad covering the rest of the plate. €17.95. It was good, but...frankly, a bit meager for a main course. I wanted a salad, and I got a salad. The dessert...? Mmm, yum! A beautiful floating island with flowing caramel and almond slivers...a very generous portion. It was fantastic. And what about the desserts from the neighbors...the profiteroles!! Three beautiful cream puffs covered in chocolate, dancing in a cloud of whipped cream...or perhaps a crumble... So yes, it's good, it's enjoyable, but a bit pricey... However, the ingredients are local, and we're right in the center of Gradignan...and...we had a lovely time.

Perfect from start to finish! A generously topped pizza made with excellent Italian ingredients. Highly recommended; I'll definitely be back for lunch or dinner.

A wonderful discovery in a comforting atmosphere. The food has a wonderful Italian flavor 🇮🇹 with authentic ingredients, a nice bonus for the wine cellar, and attentive service.

I can't count the number of times I've been to Peppone's, whether in Bordeaux or Gradignan. Never disappointed. Whether it's the simple but delicious pizzas or the generous and equally delicious desserts. I highly recommend it.

Third visit to this restaurant and I stand by my previous review: a significant improvement! The Saltimbocca veal cutlet was tender, the cream and mushroom sauce was delicious, and the pasta was perfect. The salad, what can I say, was generous and delicious. The four-cheese pizza is always a safe bet. The desserts are, as always, very generous and delicious. The service was well-suited to the evening, neither too fast nor too slow. The icing on the cake was on Thursday, August 14, 2025, when two musicians on the terrace treated us to a recital of Italian music and songs. Located in the center of Gradignan with a free 100-space parking lot, it's very easy to have lunch or dinner there. For me, it's a winner; I now prefer it to the one in Pessac Centre.

The Italian restaurant is located in the center of Gradignan, large car pack at the back. Great cocktail, and glass of wine of fresh white wine. The pizzas were delicious, well cooked and tasty. Delicious dessert : tiramisu and profiteroles! Large wine selection to pick your wine from. Walk-in only, they don’t take bookings but we got a table outside on their deck upstairs (back of the building). 3 girls attending our section were super busy, 2 were really nice and helpful, one seemed a little overwhelmed and made a mistake on our dessert order but fixed the problem rather swiftly, which was much appreciated. Perfect spot for a nice Italian pizza on way back from a day at the beach. I usually go to their other restaurant in center of Bordeaux but I love the outside area of this one. With the heat wave and heat generated by the pizza oven, no AC inside - not ideal to seat inside that might, also I’m unsure about the preservation of all the wines on the shelves with the temperature inside.
