Dragon de Beaulieu sur Caen

There was a large and nice selection. The prices are on the low end. There is only one thing and wonder why there are not more people there.

A decent experience at Le Dragon de Beaulieu. The buffet offers the essentials, and the price-quality ratio is quite reasonable for the Caen area. You can eat your fill without breaking the bank. However, a minor drawback was the pastries, which were still a bit frozen at dessert time, a bit of a shame to finish the meal. Overall, the restaurant is perfectly adequate for a quick and simple meal, the service is pleasant, and the dining room is spacious. Four stars for the affordable price!

Lots of choice on the menu, but unfortunately the hygiene isn't great; it leaves much to be desired. We've been there several times and often get sick afterwards, so we go elsewhere.

Honestly, I don't understand the criticism. We ate very well. The dishes were tasty and hot. I don't recall the buffet being empty or sparsely stocked (on the contrary, it was regularly replenished). Okay, it wasn't exactly warm and welcoming (nor was it the opposite, for that matter), but it was polite and the customer service was very good. We went one evening and everything went very smoothly. Being of Asian descent myself, I didn't notice anything negative in either the quality of the food (and I know my stuff) or the service. We'll definitely be back! More vegetarian options would be welcome, but it was pretty good.

The first thing you notice when you arrive at the buffet is the limited variety of food. Compared to other establishments of the same type, you quickly run out. There are few containers, and the options, whether for appetizers or main courses, are quite limited. You feel like you're always seeing the same thing. Even worse: the quality is lacking. While some dishes are passable, others are frankly disgusting. I tasted several items that lacked freshness or had a truly unpleasant texture (too greasy or rubbery). It's a real shame to pay for a buffet where you hesitate to go back for seconds because some of the food is so unappetizing. The only real highlight of the evening was the wok/grill station. It's really cool to have a chef preparing the food right in front of you. It adds a bit of excitement, and at least you're sure that what comes off the griddle is piping hot and cooked to order. This is the restaurant's highest quality aspect.

Nice, but small room...small buffet. That's surprising...but I saw it clearly.

The food is good. The service is good. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful.

A great time at this all-you-can-eat restaurant. I'll be back ❤️
