Escale d'Asie sur Villeneuve-Sur-Lot

I took away an excellent and generous meal (with thoughtful touches), so I didn't get to experience the atmosphere, but the welcome was very good.

Food was ok. Having eaten at many asian food establishments I was not blown away by the food on offer here. The portions were small, and they contained too much salt and not enough vegetables. Some dishes were better than others. The prawn dishes came as whole prawns with shells which was a bit strange and very messy to eat. Service was good.

A wonderful discovery! 😊 We came as a family with my aunt and uncle, and we had a fantastic time. The food was truly delicious, well-prepared, with plenty of choice, both à la carte and as part of a set menu. The portions were generous, and we left feeling very full! But what really made the difference was the service. The waitress was lovely and always smiling. As for the waiter... a real gem! Always ready with a joke, incredibly warm and friendly, and very attentive to the customers. We spent a good part of the meal laughing with him. Special mention for his famous: "Sake, handsome guy!" which had us in stitches. 😂 There's a real family atmosphere, and it's so pleasant. The food is excellent, the welcome is warm, and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the whole team!

I have rarely met (and I've been to many restaurants from north to south and east to west) such friendly people. As for the food, it's freshly prepared to order, nothing like those noisy canteens where dishes sit around reheating for hours. Update to my review July 2026: The terrace is fantastic, with fans and misters—a wonderful surprise during this heatwave. It's a truly lovely place. I highly recommend it.

A truly perfect restaurant, a very warm welcome, humor, attentive service, delicious food, excellent value for money – we've found our favorite restaurant! I recommend it 200%!

Hung. That is the name of the owner of this special restaurant. At least, I didn't specifically ask, but he certainly acted like one. In a pleasant way. Because, whatever your reason for frequenting this restaurant, Hung may well be a reason for it. A very welcoming, friendly, attentive, cheerful, jovial, special man who immediately wants to make you feel at ease. In addition, there was of course what we had chosen from the menu. I just happen to love Green or Red Curry. That wasn't on the menu, because it is a Vietnamese restaurant and what I ordered was decidedly Thai, but Hung didn't let that deter him. That Red Curry arrived at the table and it was amazing. And I should know; I order it all over the world. This one was unsurpassed. Well, after 7 pm the restaurant filled up completely, and that naturally means something. The kitchen receives mostly positive reviews and yes, naturally Hung is mentioned in them regularly. So go for it. In Villeneuve sur Lot, on a Friday evening.

An exceptional experience not to be missed at Escale d'Asie if you love Asian food! A perfect welcome, incredible kindness, and professionalism down to the smallest detail: a complimentary cold drink upon arrival, hot towels for our hands at the end of the meal, spotless restrooms... and then, generous and simply delicious dishes!!! A real treat! The best Thai beef with basil dish of my life. It's cooked with quality ingredients; you can taste all the flavors, herbs, and spices. My two children loved it too!!! And then, given the heat, the owner had prepared a small, impromptu bottle of iced fruit juice for us when we left. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Thank you for everything!
