Ferme Auberge la Graine Johe sur Sainte-Marie-Aux-Mines

What a disappointment! We come every year after our holidays. Until now, we were very happy and looked forward to this meal. This year, we want to share our disappointment. The meringue dessert is no longer the beautiful dish served with pride; it's ice cream with two industrially produced meringue cookies and some crème fraîche. The potée marcaire (a traditional Provençal stew) is not as good as it used to be (but still good). The waiter seemed determined that we each had a coffee and was condescending when we tried to remember the name of the liqueur they introduced us to the previous year. What really dampened our spirits and caused this disappointment was when we paid the bill: we were told that we had been charged for four portions of sautéed potatoes instead of two "because there were a lot and four of you were eating them." In short, he wasn't happy that our son only ate that portion of potatoes and not another dish. We were so surprised we were speechless... in short, it's still a good place, but it doesn't deserve the same level of praise as before. A shame. We might come back, but next year we'll try somewhere else.

We had a very good time. The meal was well presented, the potatoes were delicious, and the pie was excellent. It's advisable to book if you're coming for lunch (at least on Sundays). Service is from 12 pm to 6 pm continuously.

A superb view, generous and delicious dishes, reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend this inn, far from the tourist crowds!

SUPER delicious food! No-nonsense, lovely people serving you. We hadn't reserved but fortunately were still able to join the queue for, as mentioned, very tasty food at a very reasonable price. No mayonnaise or ketchup, but good fries (we are Belgians) and super tasty bacon. Local drinks, which we fully understand and applaud in that setting! Go visit, it might be best to reserve in advance, there is plenty of parking. No playground, but the ladies in my party said the toilets were very clean. We burned the calories climbing 198 vertical meters! Satisfied and fulfilled! Thanks

Lovely restaurant and a very good menu, with lots of local options and even vegetarian choices. The blueberry tart was amazing and the service was great, thank you for the warm welcome!

A warm welcome, a menu with plenty of choice, good value for money, fresh produce, and an excellent blueberry tart. In short, a great place. It's just a shame the terrace isn't better equipped with more parasols so people can eat in the shade while enjoying the superb view.

We had lunch at this farm inn and it was excellent! We especially loved the dessert suggestion: strawberry and geranium sorbet drizzled with crémant! The service was impeccable, and the restaurant's interior is very charming and unique. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it! ☺️
