Ferme Auberge le Vieux Chene sur Castelnau-Chalosse

We came this summer to eat duck confit. We enjoyed ourselves. The value for money is crazy. We recommend without hesitation. The landais pastis and custard dessert to die for!

An unmissable place in the region! The discovery of a cuisine straight from the producers/breeders. The good taste of the South West! It was luck that we were able to eat here, very often full. We showed up there by chance, and following cancellations we got a table. A warm welcome, like at home, despite the fact that we have a baby (which chills some establishments). We were served quickly, and were able to take our dessert as we didn't have time to stay there. We thank you very much for this break that you have given us.

A noisy farm inn, lots of tables in a small space and too many customers. Traditional cuisine poorly presented and poorly cooked for the confit duck breast which was very dry not soft. The waitress at the top, the boss unwelcoming. Having tasted in other farm inns we were disappointed.

Magnificent restaurant where all the products are natural and homemade. The meal is very good. The perfect welcome and the most correct rating. Highly recommended. There are previous years when I went there twice and I still come back today.

Very good meal of the day, from start to finish, with good local +++ products for a fair price. Pleasant setting and welcoming staff. We will come back!

Too bad the red wine sauce was not reduced more with the shallots and the duck breast.

Le Canard est roi ici !!! belle salle aux poutres anciennes et accueil chaleureux des deux personnes de salle (pére et fille ?). Le large éventail de menus et à la carte permettent de composer votre repas à votre guise... Notre choix s'est porté sur le menu à 34,00 euros, garbure, assiette landaise, foie gras poêlé aux pommes, magret de canard aux pêches et sauce échalotte et dessert au choix, café. Un petit floc de Gascogne et un peu de rosé du pays pour accompagner le tout ... 80,00 euros à deux et n'hésitez pas à réserver !!!
