Excellent restaurant. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. The food is very good, entirely homemade, much better than the competition, and there's also an all-you-can-eat buffet. Honestly, nothing to complain about. Excellent value for money. We'll be back.

Warm welcome, pleasant service! We chose the buffet this time to allow some of us to discover Indian cuisine. The dishes were varied, very tasty, and fragrant.

Just steps from the Indian Elephant Fountain, we went to the Indian Restaurant. We received a warm welcome, with explanations of the various dishes, which were all very good, in a very friendly atmosphere. The dishes were varied and generous, and reasonably priced, including an aperitif, wine, and coffee. A pleasant surprise that we highly recommend.

A couple from Marseille came to Chambéry and discovered this fantastic restaurant. What a treat! The staff were excellent, very pleasant, and always smiling! I highly recommend it.

At first, after reading the reviews, I had my doubts. And then I went. So yes, if you're looking for more intense flavors, you shouldn't focus solely on the all-you-can-eat menu, even though I personally opted for it. It was very good; I tried everything. Of course, not always to my taste, but overall, there were one or two items I didn't really connect with. So, considering there are more than 12 options, there's plenty to choose from. As for the spices, I didn't find them strong enough, but again, it's all-you-can-eat, so it has to suit everyone. If I had ordered à la carte, I would have gotten exactly what I wanted, but not the same variety. The rice pudding is good, and the small semolina flan isn't too bad either. Otherwise, the service was quite warm. So don't necessarily rely on the negative reviews.

We had a lovely time at Royal Shalimar. The dishes were flavorful, well-spiced, and the portions generous. The menu offers a good selection of Indian specialties, with authentic flavors that make you want to come back. The staff is welcoming and the service is generally efficient. The atmosphere is warm and the setting pleasant. A very good restaurant in Chambéry that I gladly recommend to all lovers of Indian cuisine.

A fantastic discovery! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely loved our experience at Royal Shalimar! The all-you-can-eat buffet is simply delicious, with a wide selection of flavorful, fragrant, and expertly prepared Indian specialties. The welcome is incredibly warm, and the staff is incredibly attentive. We heard a rumor that a new restaurant might be opening near Metz... If this is true, it's fantastic news for us! We look forward to seeing you there very soon. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Great price for buffet but dare I say the curry was bland?? Not a lot of flavors going on! And was disappointed in the lack of veg on the buffet. It’s a shame because the place was lovely and the people were nice, but it’s no wonder no one was in there during lunch on a Friday.
