Passing through the region, we stopped to get a pear charlotte to eat at a friend's house; it was a total delight, a light, tasty cake, and above all, low in sugar, allowing us to finish the meal without worrying about it being too heavy.

I visited the Franck Labasse pastry shop in Pessac with my family; the employees are always attentive and offer exceptional value for money.

I called this morning to ask if they had any cheesecakes. The person told me no, but that they could make some for me this afternoon without any problem. I thought that was very kind of them. The order was placed with a fairly short turnaround time (about ten days). We received a very warm welcome. The advice given to help us choose a cake for 25 people was very helpful and much appreciated. As for the cake itself, it was excellent, light and flavorful.
