Goustut sur Capbreton

The mezze format is quite nice, and the food is of a good standard. It's a shame the service isn't up to the same standard. We ordered a glass of wine, and the waitress offered us a taste before pouring it. After tasting it, we decided to order something else. The waitress then clumsily remarked, "If I had known, I wouldn't have opened the bottle." The standard practice in the industry is to offer customers a taste before serving them wine. There's no harm done if a customer changes their mind when it comes to wine by the glass. This kind of behavior detracts from the customer experience and undermines the work of the kitchen. It's a shame.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary there. The food was exquisite and the welcome warm. We have wonderful memories of this special occasion. We will gladly return.

Arriving at this restaurant, drawn in by the warm light and lush greenery outside, I discovered a small, intimate dining room with a calm atmosphere where it was easy to chat without worrying about background noise or loud music. Although the menu didn't include vegetarian options, I was able to join my hosts for the Mezze menu (a selection of small plates to share). The staff perfectly adapted the menu to my vegetarian diet, and with a smile! I enjoyed refined and carefully prepared cuisine, the likes of which I've rarely had the opportunity to experience. I'll definitely keep this address in mind to recommend and return to, of course.

This is definitely one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever been to. I highly recommend the Mezze menu, which features 12 different dishes, each as exquisitely prepared as the last (including the shellfish marinière with potato foam—a real treat!). The service is impeccable, with a relaxed and refined atmosphere. I even had a nice chat with the chef at the end. I truly recommend it! And I'll be back when I'm in the area again.

Goustut is without a doubt the best restaurant in Capbreton. Magnificent starters to share, fish grilled at the asador (a brill that day, to die for) that you won't find in any other restaurant before Spain. Very good wine list. The kitchen team is excellent: the fish was cooked to perfection. The service is excellent: pleasant, helpful, and attentive. The dining room was quiet despite the large crowd. We will gladly return.
