I ate the best daily special in Nice; I've never seen such excellent service.

Review I’m extremely happy with everything! The food, service, and atmosphere were wonderful. A special thank you to the lovely girl with long, curly hair who served us. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and polite. She made our experience even more enjoyable. Thank you so much! ❤️

Food was not bad. But everything went wrong and the waiter had the nerve to ask an additional €10 for service. Wich I of course didn't pay

A wonderful discovery in Nice! Le Grand Café de France is a delightful place, with a warm atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. The location is ideal and the setting very pleasant. An excellent spot to spend a lovely time in the heart of Nice. I highly recommend it!

I’m honestly shocked by the reviews. This is easily the place with the best tasting creme brûlée I’ve had in France. Their Bellini is also 10/10 and service is exceptional! Highly recommend to give it a chance

I ordered duck in confit. The order arrived quickly. The mashed potatoes were cold, and the duck was tough. I simply had nothing to compare it to, and the check took a long time to arrive. Apparently, I chose a very touristy place where they don't pay much attention to the quality of the food and service.

The food was very good. The service was awful, the waiter was horrible! So disrespectful. So sad cause the place is pretty nice, great music.

Le Victor Hugo

05/07/2026: CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP! Victor Hugo is changing its name to Café Berlioz. Helene and Christian welcome you here for a drink or a delicious homemade meal (daily specials board).
03/07/2026: With a recent change of ownership, we decided to give it a try and we were absolutely delighted! Honestly, the delicious food and the owner's enthusiastic welcome made for a fantastic time! I highly recommend it!!

Ville de Sienne

14/12/2025: If you’re looking for a restaurant right in the heart of Nice’s old town, this is a great choice. It has a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere and a varied menu with plenty of cuisines to suit different tastes. I chose the lamb chops, which were absolutely divine and cooked perfectly. Prices for meals are very reasonable, especially considering the location and quality. One thing to note: if you’re dining in the evening, it’s worth bringing a jacket. The narrow streets can get chilly, and while there are gas heaters, an extra layer will make the experience far more comfortable.
