Great repurposing of an old train workshop. Play areas for kids, food stalls, lots of common area meeting spaces. Secondhand vinyl LP shop is a must and concert area in the evening for Cabaret, rock bands, dance, you name it. This is one stop daytime nighttime playground for all ages. Paris does this repurposing of old buildings really well.

Great, unique space to have a great day out! Lots of options to eat and enjoy time with friends (game zone/ vintage store etc). Visited on a weekend so was ofcourse busy and had to queue for food but worth the wait. I chose the refugee kitchen and the flavour and quality was still great despite the number of orders. Staff friendly also. Lots of seating to choose and great terrasse in the sun where it is less noisy. Thriving atmosphere, would recommend as something different to try in Paris 😊

Saturday night at Ground Control wasn't exactly the experience we had been hoping for in a food hall. The warehouse-like interior was filled with long, communal tables that were packed with diners. Perhaps one or two people could have squeezed in right away but for the five of us it was quite a daunting proposition. Many customers looked as though they had finished eating long ago and were planning to talk and sip wine for the rest of the evening. We had to circle around for more than ten minutes before we spotted a small group in the midst of preparing to leave. We slid into their seats almost before they had finished getting out of them and had to mop up the mess they had left behind. There still wasn't quite enough space but we were just obnoxious enough to make our neighbors edge away from us. There were only about six restaurants, which of course had long lines, and they were far from the best options we've come across among our extensive food hall adventures over the years. The Indian and Greek food were reasonable but Mei Ling pronounced the Taiwanese noodles inedible. Probably the best-tasting dish that we had was a truffle and parmesan pizza which was ripped to shreds and consumed in a couple of minutes. Another quite interesting stall was called La Résidence, offering what they called refugee food. All the employees were immigrants in the process of applying for asylum or permanent residence within France, and they were cooking the cuisine of their home countries. I wasn't a great fan of their version of African food, but perhaps I didn't order the right thing. Once we were settled in and had some food in our stomachs it was a little easier to appreciate the raucous, convivial aspect of the food hall. It certainly hadn't been a relaxing experience but it had given us a fresh perspective on local life in Paris.

Paris is investing in the future by reusing the past. This is a meanwhile space giving up old railway buildings for new uses - for culture and community! It looks great - using the scale of the vast railway sheds and old train carriages for seating and for kids play. A great vibe - lots of families and people of all ages. very relaxed and frieindly. No logos, branding or corporate nonsense here - local beers, indie food and drink providers. We had the locally made IPA and it was a perfect 'time-out' from the tourist traps of Marais and St Germain

Went for Sales Connes Fest! A nice spot to chill and explore with different spaces that can be used for exhibition, stalls, lounges, speech, eating, and even having a concert and DJ set. Loved it.
