Gueuleton sur Saint-Palais-Sur-Mer

We ordered the "bon vivants" menu (€50 per person). The waitress explained that the chef chooses the meat, and we get to choose the starters and desserts. This turned out to be false; the kitchen decides everything. We received three starters for a party of four: deviled eggs with truffles, which were okay but nothing special; snails with parsley and garlic, which were bland; and the Munster cheese, which was fine. Then came the meat platter. The beef was okay, but nothing special—my butcher has better meat. The pork was cooked at a low temperature, admittedly, but far too fatty; the duck fillet was nothing special; the ratatouille was very good, but the mushrooms were bland. In short, there was plenty of food, but the quality wasn't there. On the other hand, they had a lovely wine cellar. We ordered Vicus, a local wine, which was very good.

An excellent restaurant in Metz! Everything was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. A warm and friendly atmosphere, a very pleasant setting, and above all, delicious, generous, and high-quality cuisine! Special mention for the welcome and service, which were attentive, friendly, and professional. You immediately feel at ease, and that truly makes all the difference! A wonderful discovery, where you enjoy the food as much as the overall experience. A place I wholeheartedly recommend and where I will gladly return!
