Hotel de la Plage

21/06/2026: This was our second stay with our little dog. We stayed on the ground floor, in a large parking area opposite the beach, and had immediate access to the beach right across the street.
The rooms were obviously very comfortable, and there was a swimming pool.
The owner is discreet but attentive and available, and his wife has a passion for cooking that will delight you at mealtimes.
A very pleasant establishment for a discreet and relaxing stay.

14/06/2026: We were looking for fine dining in St Palais where we are staying. This hotel- restaurant Damio- was seriously superb! Presentation, taste, imagination all exceeded expectations! We had 3 wonderful courses a d amuse bouche plus 2 glasses of wine each for 102 euros ( £88 GBP) Fantastic! Highly recommend.

17/07/2026: Excellent cuisine, impeccable service, a wonderful discovery! The fish was delicious, the risotto divine, and to finish, a lovely Charentais coffee and beautiful profiteroles… Absolutely perfect! Thank you for everything!

24/06/2026: Great experience, 1 week's vacation, 3 meals there.
Two teenagers with us: steak and fries and salad.
Reasonable price, salad of the day: melon, goat cheese, country ham... Delicious.
Homemade fries.
Welcoming and friendly staff.
Absolutely perfect.

Unfriendly welcome, low-quality pizza just to quench your thirst.
We felt like we were bothering them.
I had to get the pizza remade because it was overcooked.
Luckily the owner arrived to set things straight because his staff is awful and very rude.
15/07/2026: Thanks to the waiter in the dark glasses in the back area, near Pizza Rocket, for this wonderful customer experience.
After looking at me several times without saying a word, he finally explained, without a greeting or any polite greeting, that you only order at your table. One small detail: all the tables were taken. When I pointed out that I was standing because there was no room, his solution was simply to ask me to leave the bar.
As a result, I couldn't order a single drink all evening. Luckily, the rest of the staff was much more pleasant and professional.

16/05/2026: Excellent restaurant! The meal was truly delicious, with flavorful and beautifully presented dishes from start to finish. The service was also top-notch: the staff were very kind, pleasant, smiling, and attentive. You feel right at home from the moment you arrive. A wonderful experience, I highly recommend it!

10/04/2026: The welcome was appalling, which ruined the atmosphere at the table! We simply asked for an extra place setting at our table for four, politely (with "please" and a smile), only to be snapped at with "I know, 2 seconds, I just got here!"...charming! And the service was so rushed, with plates being cleared almost as soon as one of us finished, resulting in constant and untimely turnover.
As for the food, the mussels and fries were good, as were the pizza and desserts.

10/03/2026: We went for coffee after a day of skiing. Friendly staff and a very pleasant time.

A very warm welcome, excellent staff...
A beautiful setting overlooking the sea and... very peaceful.
Everything is high quality and fresh.
I had delicious mussels à la paysanne, and my husband enjoyed a very generous seafood platter.
Despite what the picky and complaining people might say... we will definitely return.

28/09/2024: toujours aussi bonnes, les crêpes sont même plus garnies qu' en avril date de ma dernière visite ; le patron était plus détendu et la serveuse qui n'a pas changé toujours sympatique je conseille toutes les crêpes par contre les moules étaient moins savoureuses (manque de vin blanc)

Produits de qualité, on choisit exactement ce que l'on veut et la présentation est top. Que du bonheur!

27/08/2024: Pleasant 3-night stay in the Primavéra hotel, ideally located a few steps from the Flyin Club festival; discovery of Saint Palais and the Primavera hotel thanks to this event which for the second year delivered incredible concerts (big names, such as Etienne de Crecy or Kavinsky (see Photo), notably present during the ceremony closing of the 2024 Olympics!) and a great atmosphere.
What a joy to enjoy such a setting, coupled with a festival that brings youth and dynamism to the city!
Regarding the room, sublime view but somewhat outdated equipment for the price. The elevator could do with a little overhaul, we could hear the door creaking/slamming every time someone used the elevator.
Very kind staff, who listened to our requests.
I also strongly recommend the rooms with a sea view, however it seems to me that without this argument I would not return to the Primavera hotel given the dilapidation of the building.
To conclude, magnificent potential (a place full of history) but unfortunately too many things to improve. We look forward to coming back to see you for the next edition of the Flyin Club!

01/09/2024: Pas un resto de plage mais un resto sur la plage. Service sympa, cool et arrangeant, plats de bonne qualité à un prix très correct compte tenu de l'emplacement. Une bonne adresse que nous prendrons plaisir à revisiter à l'occasion

07/01/2025: Bought a galette des rois today, chocolate and hazelnut, it's a cider, a delight, we enjoyed the puff pastry, I don't like extraordinary, I've never eaten such a good galette, a big thank you. Small negative, too bad the beans are not in the Little shell theme for example. Best wishes
