Ha Noi 1988 sur Paris

oh we just had a nice Pho dinner at Ha Noi 1988. The Pho was really good. I got the garlicy Pho and we thought that one tasted the best. we also got a lychee drink (not bad but kinda sweet). my wife got the clay pot bowl which was SUPER hot. she thought it looked the meat too fast and too much so she used my soup broth for her noodles. we liked the garlicy pho so much i had a second bowl. it was very good. Would I eat there again ? Absolutely !

The queue starts even before the restaurant opens, so it's best to arrive a little early. The atmosphere is pleasant, and while the menu isn't huge, the food is really good. It's a bit pricey, but worth it if you're looking for authentic Hanoi pho. Most Vietnamese restaurants in Paris tend to serve Southern pho (phở miền Nam). If you're looking for Northern pho (phở miền Bắc), you can definitely find it here. A great place to try if you want to discover this style of pho.

The Vietnamese Pho shop, supposedly a favorite of Tony Leung, is located by the river and has a charming atmosphere. We ordered the Traditional Pho. The broth was light and sweet (unlike the richer broth of Californian Pho). There was no basil or bean sprouts for garnish, and no beef diaphragm, beef balls, or tripe; only slices of medium-rare beef. The meat was okay, but the sweetness of the beef wasn't very pronounced. The fried spring rolls were just average. The outer skin was a bit hard, and the fish sauce was rather weak. Nothing special. The French are known for their culinary expertise, but this French Pho is definitely not as good as the American version!

Excellent experience, as always at Hanoi, the dishes are subtle and of high quality. Without a doubt one of the best in Paris!

You should only order the rare beef, not the clear beef broth. The broth for the rare beef is very good, although not the authentic Hanoi rare beef pho flavor. The clear beef broth doesn't taste like pho at all. The strong point is that the beef is tender and there's quite a lot of it.

Best pho outside of Vietnam, and even in Vietnam the pho here would be S tier

Second time in here and it’s always a pleasure to come here. Food is authentic and the staff are nice. Serving is enough and the views from the store is cool! It’s a little cramped though so reserve your seats in advance if a big group.

Best Pho i have ever had across the damn globe. I think the only better pho is probably in Vietnam some where. I know that every single time i end up in paris, i will come to this resturant to eat their pho. The service is great, pleasant people dishing out amazing authentic food. You truly cannot beat it. Get the spring roles, get their chef special pho (sauteed beef) and have a friggen blast. I could eat this for every meal.
