Everything was actually perfect. I’ve been to many hippopotamus locations and I order the same dish, but this time it was exceptionally great. The tuna starter was very nice, the fish and chips stood out to me. The fish was very fresh in taste from the first bite, extremely crunchy (coated perfectly), the fries were very crispy and well done (the way I prefer). The view is also very nice, of the station. There wasn’t any outdoor seating options visible during my visit, which was the reason I picked this location. Service was great, the staff were friendly. Highly recommended overall.

Very good restaurant well located only the manager/boss is unpleasant with his staff speaking badly to him in front of the customers which annoys us greatly the waiter was nevertheless pleasant helpful and fast although during training he constantly pressed him this made me the pain

I had an excellent experience at the Hippopotamus restaurant opposite Gare du Nord. The service was quick and friendly, which is perfect for busy travelers. The quality of the food was outstanding, with perfectly cooked steaks and tasty sides. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant, ideal for a casual meal after a long trip. In addition, the proximity to the train station is very convenient. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Gare du Nord!

The service is very good, with welcoming and pleasant waitresses and waiters.
The food is okay considering it's a big chain today. A wide choice on the menu, for all tastes and all prices.

Dropped in on Saturday evening. It was busy, and there were few wait staff. It took a long time before we were served. A second drink in between was completely difficult to arrange. Starters (chicken wings + patatas bravas), chicken tasty, potatoes nothing special. Main courses (carpaccio + grilled chicken with chimmichurrie), carpaccio tasty, chicken not well seasoned, chimmichurrie in a very small bowl and did not have much flavor and the side dish was a bowl of potatoes without much flavor.
Too bad, I expected more from this.
