Had a great time at Hippopotamus. The staff is friendly and professional, the food is delicious and beautifully presented. The meat was cooked perfectly, and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The waitress was very pleasant, the service was good, and she was very polite. However, it's a shame that if there are any problems, they are resolved in front of customers waiting to be served. Your problems should be addressed outside of service hours. This is a major drawback.

As a regular customer, I witnessed a rather awkward scene at lunchtime today: a waitress with glasses was yelling at someone wearing a blue jacket. I wouldn't have wanted to be in her shoes. It's a shame, because it gives a bad impression and makes other customers uncomfortable.

We ate there four times out of five days, and if it had been open on New Year's Day, we would have gone every single day. The ambiance is perfect for a steakhouse, and the staff is very friendly and attentive, even though we don't speak French. Over the four days, we ordered a variety of dishes and sides. The quality and taste were excellent across the board. We are happy to give it five stars and thank you for the friendly service we and our little one received. If we are ever in this part of the world again, we will definitely come back. Best regards, the Neumann family

10/12/2025: We had lunch with three adults at the restaurant. It is important to note the kind and good attitude of the waiter Victor who served us, including providing explanations about the food and recommendations on what to take. The vegetable soup was excellent, and as main courses we took pulled pork and salmon, both dishes were excellent and good. For dessert we ordered chocolate mousse and lemon cake, both dishes were simply excellent. We highly recommend the restaurant, the rating given to it does it a great injustice.
14/10/2025: Great, cozy little place with friendly service, young lady spoke English as my French is limited. Food was very good, be warned the portions were pretty good.

24/12/2025: Friendly waiter, nice place, fast service, hearty meal.
18/12/2025: We traveled from December 8th to 11th with Salaun Holidays. Dinner was very generous and varied; we thoroughly enjoyed your Alsatian cuisine. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. I highly recommend them.
