Hippopotamus Paris Les Halles sur Paris

They were incredibly attentive and on the ball. They were there for us at the slightest request. We ate very well and had a truly wonderful time. The prices were reasonable.

The food was delicious. We ordered the Hippo steak with a very nice red wine. The service was fantastic from everyone who served us.

Located in the heart of Paris, in a relatively quiet area, this Hippopotamus offers a varied menu with a decent price-to-quality ratio. We were disappointed by the rushed welcome, even though we were among the first to arrive at 11:50 am. Without even having time to mention our reservation, we were shown directly to a table. Luckily, we had chosen our meal before arriving, because after only two minutes with the menu in hand, the waiter came to take our order! Our appetizers had barely been served for five minutes when our burgers arrived. Again, it was impossible to enjoy our meal because the waiter offered to clear the table even though we hadn't finished! The second time he came back, he asked, "Are you finished this time?" in a rather unfriendly manner. The same thing happened with the desserts, which were brought out extremely quickly. It's a shame, because the place and the restaurant are nice, our burgers and desserts were very well made. We came to relax, and our entire meal was rushed through in 40 minutes flat...
