Hotel de France sur Thann

Review of the restaurant only. Weekday lunch. Generous portions, decent atmosphere and service, prices are average. Well-prepared and tasty Alsatian specialties. The beckaoffa and the bouchée à la reine are worth trying. Returned in early December 2025 for dinner. It's really good.

Great experience at the hotel, ideally located and clean in the center. Comfortable room with a good bed. Breakfast was perfect 👍 The staff were very welcoming and made us want to come back. See you soon :)

Our second visit to this restaurant in a year, and our second time being thoroughly satisfied. A warm, family welcome, attentive and efficient service, responsive to every request, and delicious, generous traditional cuisine. In short, we will gladly return on our next trip to the region.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch in a charming, slightly old-fashioned dining room. The menu, very Alsatian in style, was varied, and despite the restaurant being full, we were served quickly and with a smile. Our meals were excellent and generous. A wonderful discovery. Thank you.

Excellent value for money (Room €48, hearty breakfast €7 or €9 with extra cheese) It's a shame the restaurant is closed on Friday lunch and dinner, Thursday evening, and Sunday evening. Choose half-board if you eat at the restaurant. The price is unbeatable. Otherwise, the restaurant is à la carte. The food is well prepared, and the staff is friendly.

I'm used to B&Bs and other hotel chains that aren't too expensive... I'm delighted with the Hôtel de France. The room was very decent, the bedding comfortable 😊 The breakfast was worthy of the name, with fresh, artisanal bread and pastries served at the table, and the facilities were comfortable and beautiful. The welcome was pleasant and professional. Great city center location with parking available. For 1 person, €48 per night and breakfast at €9, honestly, don't hesitate!!!
