Hygge Cafe sur Albert

Visited on May 17, 2026. Overall, it wasn't bad. The only downside was the way the meat was cooked. We asked for it rare, but it ended up being medium-rare. The second negative point was the bread. Personally, with hamburgers, it's not a big deal, but I noticed the same thing at neighboring tables. The slices are usually the thickest, but here we were talking about 1 cm thick. I find that a bit stingy; it's not like it's a rolling pin! I worked in restaurant service for 10 years, so I think I know what I'm talking about. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant are nice; overall, it's not bad. I've seen much worse. The prices are reasonable. In short, I don't really understand the negative reviews I've read. Why are they putting this brasserie down?! Constructive feedback can only help them improve. Honestly, I'll definitely be back this summer to enjoy the terrace and check the thickness of the bread slices 😂 All the best to you.

Pleasant welcome, perhaps next time try the place next door? Definitely don't order the pasta!! Unless you have a dog for its food... it's way overcooked. The rest is mediocre.

Good meal, service a little slow.

40 minutes waiting for my ficelle picarde... which was good, by the way. Penne with Maroilles cheese, lots of béchamel and not much Maroilles, and not very hot... In short, apart from a very nice setting, not much enjoyment at this first date... a miss!

As someone with a disability, I have to give them a huge thumbs up for the exceptional service they provided. They were cheerful, welcoming, and there was an outlet for my breathing apparatus nearby, as well as accessible restrooms. Honestly, if you're in a similar situation and you happen to be in the Place d'Armes area, go there – it's absolutely fantastic and the prices are reasonable.

Enjoyed a meal here on my first night in Albert. On the whole it was good, although burger could have been warmer.

Good atmosphere, simple but high-quality cuisine, it's a shame the menu has shrunk over time.
