Hygge Cafe sur Albert

An hour's wait for our food, and when it finally arrived, the chicken tenders were missing from the salad. The hamburger patty was medium-rare, even though I ordered it rare, and the sauces never arrived despite our request. The clearing time was far too long, which discouraged us from ordering dessert. Otherwise, the food is quite good; you just need to avoid busy days.

As always, a wonderful time at Hygge in Albert. Lunch today with a client, on the terrace under a beautiful sun. Quick service, quality dishes, always well prepared, and a smiling, welcoming, and attentive team. A sure bet that we always return to with pleasure. I highly recommend it!

No one acknowledged us when we went in. We knew they were busy but some eye contact would be good and say we will be with you in a minute, or sorry we are fully booked. So we went elsewhere.

It was a restaurant that was easily accessible in the neighborhood and had everything: delicious food, a great atmosphere, and excellent service. I had trouble ordering due to my limited language skills, but I was grateful for the very kind service from the staff member taking my order. The steak of the day suited my taste perfectly, and the wine was good as well.

A great find right in front of the Basilica of Albert! Very generous portions, you won't go hungry 😋 A delicious menu with typical regional dishes like ficelle picarde 🧀 The only downside was the wait of over 40 minutes for our food. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting—perfect for after-work drinks with colleagues on the terrace facing the Basilica 😉

Visited on May 17, 2026. Overall, it wasn't bad. The only downside was the way the meat was cooked. We asked for it rare, but it ended up being medium-rare. The second negative point was the bread. Personally, with hamburgers, it's not a big deal, but I noticed the same thing at neighboring tables. The slices are usually the thickest, but here we were talking about 1 cm thick. I find that a bit stingy; it's not like it's a rolling pin! I worked in restaurant service for 10 years, so I think I know what I'm talking about. The atmosphere and decor of the restaurant are nice; overall, it's not bad. I've seen much worse. The prices are reasonable. In short, I don't really understand the negative reviews I've read. Why are they putting this brasserie down?! Constructive feedback can only help them improve. Honestly, I'll definitely be back this summer to enjoy the terrace and check the thickness of the bread slices 😂 All the best to you.

Pleasant welcome, perhaps next time try the place next door? Definitely don't order the pasta!! Unless you have a dog for its food... it's way overcooked. The rest is mediocre.
