21/02/2026: I walk toward a simple promise,
with a light heart,
and an almost joyful hunger.
There, the door is never a door,
but an open embrace,
a discreet fire awaiting me
under the gentle name of La Lanterna.
I enter as one returns home
after too many winters,
with that peaceful certainty
that nothing will be feigned,
that everything will be true.
The bread still speaks of wheat,
the sauces simmer for a long time,
and the hands that cook
have learned the patience of mothers.
Each plate recognizes me,
reassures me,
whispers to me that happiness
is never far away,
that it hides in the steam rising from a dish
and in the laughter of a neighboring table.
There, love is simple,
the price is gentle,
and generosity is immeasurable. I go there with a childlike enthusiasm,
with that luminous eagerness
to rediscover warmth,
nameless family,
and the fragile beauty
of homemade things.
For there are places
where one goes not only to eat,
but to mend one's soul
by the light of a lantern.
So yes, bon voyage,
to those who still seek
authentic places,
and who will recognize,
in the discreet light of a lantern,
the simple and precious taste
of contentment.
14/02/2026: We went there for Valentine's Day and ordered the famous set menu for the occasion, which is around €58. The food was exceptional and the portions were very generous. I highly recommend it! 👍
